New podcast to stream live starting Dec. 27 via YouTube with recorded episodes available same day via the Never Daunted Radio Network
Merrie & Shimbo’s UnPod, premiering live on YouTube December 27, represents our official return to broadcasting just over a year after our last flagship podcast in June 2020. While the original Never Daunted Radio Network podcast is returning in 2022, Merrie & Shimbo’s UnPod serves a promise kept to our original vision as no network ever only had a single show available for consumption at any one time.
Starring west coast transplant Merrie Swain alongside yours truly, Merrie & Shimbo’s UnPod is a celebration of simple, weird friendships as Merrie and I simply do what we’ve done for years now via Facebook…just talk. Each episode will take place live, streaming on YouTube, with audio podcast episodes available for download same day.
With a format that features no actual format, each episode of Merrie & Shimbo’s UnPod features unscripted banter that promises to be a mixture of absolutely weird and maybe funny. Viewers/listeners can expect a variety of shit-shooting, guests and maybe a surprise or two.
The idea is that the audience is eavesdropping on a conversation that would take place regardless as to who is listening. There is no intro, no outro, no acknowledgement of viewers. Just a straight conversation that can end up going just about anywhere, which, honestly, is half the fun.
While scheduling information is TBD, our premiere livestream happens Monday, December 27 on our YouTube page, with a time to be announced later this week. That said, viewers/listeners can expect a live broadcast two-three times a week, with potential to increase up to four episodes a week.
We’ll send out more information closer to the premiere, so stay tuned!
